He is an advocate of financial excellence, enterprise optimization and profitable growth and has presented and published on the topic of Finance and Management Accounting in numerous occasions. He currently serves as global solution owner for SAP Central Finance with GTM responsibility across all markets, channels, and related products. His past and current professional affiliations ASUG, IMA, CAM-I, the Resource Consumption Accounting Institute (RCA-I), Society of Cost Management (SCM) and the International Controller Association (ICV).
Reporting to the Finance Solutions and Technology Leader, Mike is responsible for developing and executing the Global Finance strategy on technology and master data to deliver capabilities required to meet business needs. He is currently responsible for the design, deployment of a multitude of Finance enabling technology including but not limited to SAP Central Finance, EPM technologies and other capability enabling technologies (Blackline, Digital AI/RPA, Data Hub etc.). He likewise has business product owner responsibility for a Finance technology competency center to support the evolution and integration of existing technologies products currently in the portfolio. He likewise runs a Finance Data governance organization to provide necessary governance and oversight to the foundational data structures that enable downstream reporting and analytical use cases
Wietse Bijlsma is a Program Management Consultant with over 15 years of experience managing various types of Information Systems, Technology and Transformation programs and projects. He has a successful track record of leading teams and projects, many of them related to process optimizations and transformations. Wietse joined Nutrien in late 2018 to lead the Finance Enablement Program. This Program is focused on integrating the various ERP’s for the Corporate and Wholesale Finance departments into a single S4 instance through the use of Central Finance and provide consolidated results from BPC11.
