The fact that data, if leveraged strategically, can create game changing capabilities for organizations, can not be disputed. However, a key crucial step that is often the most challenging and in my opinion, most critical, is data mangement – the process of collecting, normalizing, storing and securing the data. Data warehouses play a key role in data management and we recently had the opportunity to discuss some strategic aspects of data warehousing with SAP’s Global head of Data Warehouse Product Management & Strategy, Mohamed Abdel Hadi.
As Vice President for SAP Data Warehouse Product Management & Strategy, Mohamed Abdel Hadi (Mo) is responsible for the entire Cloud and On-Premise portfolio. A pioneer in the Data & Analytics industry, Mo has been with SAP for over 12 years in different management positions with a focus on Analytics and Data throughout his entire career.
He provides strong technical, market and customer-oriented vision for new products and technology driven development projects. As a leader of a global organization, his focus is to deliver best in class Analytics & Data Warehouse products to customers and strengthen SAP’s position in the converging markets for data & analytics.
Mo speaks or moderates frequently on top industry events (TDWI, DSAG, ASUG, BARC, partner events: Accenture, Mc Kinsey, KPMG, etc.) about Digital Transformation and how Data & Analytics can help to turn data into actionable insights, support decisions and enable data democratization.
Mo graduated from the University of Applied Sciences in Flensburg (Germany) with a diploma in Business Intelligence, Database systems and Algorithm. Living in Frankfurt (Germany) Mo likes to spend his spare time traveling to exciting countries, challenging friends in table tennis and spending time with them.
