In today’s world of rapid proliferation and progression of technology, the lifecycle of a typical software has decreased significantly. Sooner or later, your key software systems need to be either upgraded or replaced. And more complex the system is, more are the challenges associated with upgrade or replacement. This is obviously applicable to SAP technology ecosystems as well and this scenario is now looming large for SAP ECC customers. SAP customers who are currently running on different versions of SAP ERP need to consider a migration to an SAP S/4HANA system by 2027. Extensive planning needs to happen to tackle the challenges that comes with this migration.
SAPinsider recently had the opportunity to discuss some of the best practices and challenges for SAP ECC to S/4HANA migration with an expert in the domain, Dr. Marco Sisfontes.
